Supplies:
bubbles
food coloring
heavy white paper (we used cardstock)
straws
Pour your bubbles into a shallow tray. Mix in your coloring (it takes a lot to get a really concentrated color.) Use your straw to blow bubbles and the lightly press your paper to make pretty pictures.
This has a small learning curve but is very fun. The kids, and adults, kept coming back to make more and more awesomeness.
Justin even made one for his mom's fridge... how cute!

This was one of our favorite "Art Mom" projects at school. We used cups though and had them blow as many bubbles as the could then set the paper on top. I know this is my OCD over the top, but it's a great way to teach the primary colors. Then you mix the paints together to make secondary colors. Looks like tons of fun & good call on doing it outside!
