We just back from Cali on our trip to see my grandparents for their 50th wedding anniversary. It was so much fun, even though it was so short. We loved being there with all our California family that we don't get to see very often. It was just so wonderful to be there celebrating with Grandma and Grandpa. Even if it was for only a short while.
Here are the highlights:
-Stopping by Uncle Zea's to take family pics and getting to see Uncle Zea and Auntie 'Rene
-Yummy big breakfasts and eating whole crab that was alive only moments before
-The beautiful beach and watching Kam love it so much
-Dave, the pansy, when he wimped out with the baby crab and it bit Brandon's finger
-Being in my Grandparents house and all the memories
-The smell of California: it's reminiscent of Cali, (obviously) Argentina, and New Zealand memories.)
- My Grandma's regional stake conference (such a wonderful meeting)
-Bumming around in the grand ole "city" of Boomtown; playing games and just enjoying the mishaps that are family caravans
-Dave's lame state patroller comments. Our favorite: "It's looks like we're coming up on something medical to the right."
- Following behind Steve . . .
- BUT MORE THAN ANYTHING!: we loved being with our family, especially my grandparents. They are such wonderfully special and incredible people. We loved that we were able to surprise them and be there for a special event in their lives because they are always there for ours.
